Opportunities For Intervention/Influence:
- Assess the pros and cons of existing shared decision-making materials and decision aids
- In collaboration with end users (primary care, etc.), create tools to aid patients and providers. Develop model informed/shared decision-making materials and content to overcome current shortcomings.
- Provide feedback to CMS to assist in verifying that a quality visit is taking place
- Advise on strategic priorities, program direction, and scientific policy that results in the ability to empower the decision-making process for patients and providers
