Thank you for joining us from December 7-9 in Atlanta, GA for the 2025 ACS National Lung Cancer Roundtable (ACS NLCRT) National Meeting. Please read on for important information about our speaker guidelines, utilizing your complimentary Lyft pass, and updates to our reimbursement process.

For reference, average early December weather in Atlanta. typically includes daytime highs in the upper to low 50s °F (11-15 °C) and evening lows in the upper 30s °F (around 4 °C), with occasional light rain.

Ground Transportation and Complimentary Lyft Pass

The meeting hotel is approximately 20-35 minutes from ATL by car, depending on traffic and time of day. We will provide you with a Lyft Pass to cover travel to and from your home airport, as well as between the Atlanta airport and the hotel. The Pass will cover up to six rides at $100 per ride.

The hotel is approximately 30 minutes from ATL by train. Atlanta’s MARTA transit system runs to and from the airport, and fares are $2.50 each way. From the airport, Grand Hyatt Atlanta guests should board northbound trains (N to North Springs). Exit at the Buckhead Station N7 onto Peachtree Road S. The Buckhead Station is two blocks from the hotel.

The pass will be added directly to your Lyft account using your mobile number. To view and use your pass, you will follow the steps in the attached document. If you choose to use another form of transportation (cab, train, or Uber), the costs incurred can be reimbursed using the process outlined in the Volunteer Reimbursement Guide.

Reimbursement

The American Cancer Society is covering all reasonable travel expenses for our speakers and volunteer leaders. A digital copy of our Volunteer Expense Form (linked below), along with copies of all original receipts must be submitted along with the completed form within 30 days following the meeting using the submission link below. Please see below for our ACS Roundtable Volunteer and Staff Travel Policy to learn more about what is and isn’t eligible for reimbursement. We will send reminders about reimbursement following our meeting.

Dress Code

Business casual is recommended. Meeting rooms can sometimes be chilly, so we suggest bringing a light sweater or jacket. Comfortable shoes are encouraged, as there may be some walking between sessions and networking events.

Presentation Guidelines

  • Please title your file as follows: Last name_First Name_Session_Date.
  • All sources, including images, MUST be referenced. If using images you do not own or personally create, please assume that the image is copyrighted. You will need to purchase an image license to use the photo or you cannot use it in your presentation.
  • We require a disclosure slide at the beginning of your slide deck stating any relevant disclosures. If you do not have anything to disclose, please still include a slide that states so. Disclosures should list any relevant personal or financial relationships including but not limited to affiliations, grants, research support, or other financial or material support.
  • All PowerPoint presentations must be in a 16:9 (widescreen) format.
  • Please use black Arial font. Use color for emphasis only and consider if those accent colors will be eligible throughout the room. Text should be at a minimum of 24 pt to ensure it’s readable for the audience.
  • Avoid overloading your presentation with unnecessary images. JPG images are the preferred file format for inserted images.
  • Avoid using slide animations or transitions.
