Joelle T. Fathi, DNP, RN, ARNP, CTTS, FAAN, is an Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist who has dedicated the majority of her clinical career to oncology, including integral roles in thoracic surgery, pulmonary medicine, and lung cancer screening. She currently leads GO2 for Lung Cancer’s Excellence in Screening and Care and Health Policy department, including the GO2 for Lung Cancer Centers of Excellence, a network consisting of more than 850 primarily community-based medical facilities that provide excellence in lung cancer early detection and diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship.

She is responsible for expanding excellence and access to high-quality care across the lung cancer care continuum in communities nationwide.
A board-certified and practicing nurse practitioner, Dr. Fathi has 30 years of experience in direct clinical care, including the lung screening and cancer care continuum. She has a proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams to produce measurable and sustainable change in health systems and health outcomes for patients and communities. She is active as an Associate Teaching Professor at the University of Washington School of Nursing.

Dr. Fathi is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing for her distinguished contributions to improving health and achieving health equity by impacting policy through nursing leadership, innovation, and science. She is a staunch advocate for systems change, funding, and regulation to gain better access to care and optimal outcomes for marginalized and underserved populations. Over her long and esteemed career, she has served in many leadership roles in healthcare, nursing, health policy, advisory boards, and national and international committees.
