GO2 Foundation for Lung Cancer

Laurie Fenton Ambrose is the Cofounder, President & Chief Executive Officer of GO2 Foundation for Lung Cancer, the “go-to” local and global force serving and advocating for the needs of the millions of people who are vulnerable, at risk or diagnosed, and all others impacted by or impacting the disease. GO2 Foundation was formed in 2019 through the merger of the former national non-profits, Lung Cancer Alliance and Bonnie J. Addario Lung Cancer Foundation, specifically to increase outreach to and support of more people impacted by lung cancer, expand patient-centered research and accelerate scientific discoveries, and to amplify awareness of the steep challenges and needs facing the lung cancer community. Laurie is responsible for setting and executing the overarching mission and vision of GO2  Foundation and is the primary liaison to community and government leaders, national media, collaborating agencies, health care professionals, and other strategic alliances. Laurie brings over three decades of non-profit and public policy experience to GO2 Foundation, having served in senior management positions in both the legislative and executive branches of government, serving 3 Members of Congress, United States Senator and Cabinet Secretary primarily in Chief of Staff capacities, and most recently as President & CEO of Lung Cancer Alliance. Laurie is a graduate of The George Washington University and Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government Senior Management in Government Executive Program. Laurie was inspired to join the lung cancer fight by her friend and associate Sheila Ross, a two time lung cancer survivor.
